The Polish Panel Survey (POLPAN, ''Polskie Badanie Panelowe'') is a program of panel surveys of the population of Poland carried out by the Research Team on Comparative Social Inequality at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.ifispan.waw.pl/index.php?lang=en&m=page&pg_id=107 )〕 Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN). It is an individual-based study started in 1988 and repeated in 5-year intervals. The focus of the program is to describe Poland's social structure and its change over the last 25 years. POLPAN data and documentation from the waves 1988, 1993, 1998, and 2003 are available for download in various formats from the download and analysis tool of the GESIS Data Archive's - ZACAT,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://zacat.gesis.org/webview/ )〕 and from the Polish Social Data Archive. == Methodology and scope == The sample of the last panel wave of 2008 comprises 1825 respondents of whom 1244 belong to the strict panel, while 581 cases consist of newly added individuals aged 21–25 years. Data collection is carried out by the Centre of Sociological Research〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.ifispan.waw.pl/orbs/index.php?lang=en&m=page&pg_id=16 )〕 at IFiS PAN.
